Does anyone know whether there have been any compilations of gladiatorial evidence compiled at all, such as gravestone, armour, equipment or other such finds.

I notice that there are a great deal of military and civilian 'corpus of finds' but no such thing that I have been able to find for gladiatorial equipment ... can anyone help or shed light on this?

Ridley Scott says he's expecting to complete a sequel to Gladiator by early 2005.

The new movie will pick up where the first left off, focusing on Lucilla's son, Lucius.

Recently I was lent a book by Tim Edwards called Spartacus and the Slave Wars - A brief History with Documents. Edited by Brent D Shaw.

The book is simply translated documents from the three major slave wars ending in the Spartacan revolt. Documentatin from how to treat slaves to why the slaves revolted fill the pages and it makes for one of the most insightful reads into Roman slavery I have ever read.
