I need info about mortality rates, how old they got, what kinda weaponry they used, everything that has to do with gladiators. 			<description><![CDATA[ Hello all<br><br>A recent thread on the Roman Army Talk forum showed the following image of Augustus. The paint work has been studied and this reconstruction made based upon UV work carried out on the statue.<br><br>It is amazing to see the colour at work on this statue and it reminds me very much of the late 1950's when colour made its way to TV and the shows were very garish because at last colour could be used on TV. I wonder how much of the garish colour (instead of todays muted tones)... ]]></description>
